He is a Senior Vice President and Partner with ESG Operations, Inc. in Macon. John has been involved in cycling and triathlon for the past 4 years competing in numerous events from crits to Ironman races. John is excited about the inaugural year for Big Ring Racing and looks forward to safe and productive season. |
Kevin Frounfelker, Macon Ga. Kevin Frounfelker is a transplant to Macon from Dayton, Ohio. He's lived here for the last five years and intends to stay as he has decided to build his practice here as a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch. He has been cycling for three years and has competed in triathlons, adventure races, and road races for the last two seasons. He will be starting this season as a cat five but hopes to move up to four quickly. |
John Cozart , Macon Ga. John Cozart, 34 is the IT manager at Robins Federal Credit Union. He is married with a 14 month old son Henry. He is very new to road bike riding since 2010. He started out as a runner and has loved the sport since buying his first road bike. John is very excited about all of the riding and racing the 2012 season will bring. Over the past 8 years he has completed a marathon, multiple triathelons and loves Adventure racing. |
Brett Barron, Macon Ga. Brett Barron, 51, resides in Macon Georgia with his wife Dawn and youngest son Wesley who is a junior at Stratford Academy. Oldest son Cole is a junior at Georgia Southern University. Brett is in the oil business as a sales manager for around 24 years now. Brett has been an active cyclist since 1999 racing in many triathlons, time trials, and road races over the years. Brett has had many podium finishes over the years especially in the time trial discipline. Brett is an all-rounder whom loves to get out front and pull for his teammates! Brett is also the founder and President of the Macon Chain Gang Cycling Club.

Jeff Kahley, Macon Ga. Jeff Kahley, 45,resides in Macon,Ga. with his daughter Keri. He is a personal trainer at Trainers Fitness Institute and owns and operates Real Kids Fitness. Jeff is a category 5 racer who has been riding bikes for over 20 years and just started racing in 2010. Jeff is willing to work for his team for the common goal of getting a team mate or himself to the podium. |
Hunter Squires, Macon Ga. Hunter Squires, 40, lives in Macon, Georgia with his wife Kelli. He has two children, Amelia 11, and Hunter 10. The 2011 season was Hunter's first year of racing competing as a CAT 5 racer. He had a top 10 finish at the Brooks Senoia road race, and (2) top 5 finishes at the SB&T road race in Albany, and the PRO GOLD Crit in Macon. Other interest include, running, triathlon, camping, and Georgia Football. |
Matt Esterline, Macon Ga. Matthew Esterline, 51, resides in Macon GA, with his wife Christine and son Austin. He has been a Domino's franchisee for nearly twenty years, and owned Bike Tech for three. His cycling passions are road, MTB, and triatholons. He is actively involved with his son in tennis training and the Boy Scouts.

Van Mixon, Macon Ga. Van Mixon, 40, resides in Macon, GA with his wife, Kay, and two children Emily and Evan. He works as an IT Analyst/Developer for Principal Financial Group. The 2012 season will be Van's first experience with road racing. He got into road riding two years ago to increase his fitness level to help with his mountain bike racing. Van competes in the Expert class in numerous cross-country and endurance mountain bike races in the Southeast. Van is eager to learn race strategy and work with the other members of his team in the coming season. He is not looking forward to shaving his legs.

Beau Donner, Macon Ga. Beau Donner, 47 (soon to be 48) resides in Macon, Georgia with his wife, Kimbrough and three children, Kayleigh Sky, Brighten and Custis. He is an attorney with the firm Donner, Marshall & Sims. Beau has been cycling for seven years and has competed in triathlons the last five years and road races the last three years. He has competed as a Cat 5 racer and has had two first place finishes at the Albany Road Race the past two years. He is looking forward to helping his teamates any way he can.

Dale Vaughn, Macon Ga. Dale Vaughan - age 67 - He is the oldest guy on the team and feels honored. Moved to Macon 9 yrs. ago from Portland, Oregon for a life changing experience . Has been a top age grouper in Triathlon since the early 80's and started bike racing in the 90's Done more races than he could count, including 9 Ironmans. He & fellow team mate Stan Ethridge have a small Yard Service Maintenance Company here in Macon. His hope is, that his racing experience will benefit the team and have fun at the same time.

He is active in local charitable organisations focused on helping those challenged with pediatric cancers and developmental disabilities. Brian Walter, Atlanta Ga. Brian Walter, 39, is a personal trainer living in Cumming Georgia with his wife April. He has been a recreational cyclist over the past 3 years and discovered such a love for the sport that he wanted to take it to the next level and compete. After completing a successful season in the Category 5 division, Brian is now racing in the Category 4 division. With two races races under his belt and a third place podium finish in the Macon Cycling Classic, Brian is looking to a successful 2012 season.

Bill Ham, Bolingbroke Ga. Bill Ham lives in Bolingbroke with his wife Betty and three children. Bill started cycling after graduation from Georgia Tech and competed in triathlons and running events for many years. He returned to cycling when his daughter wanted a road bike as a high school graduation present. He is now looking forward to competing as a cat 5 bike racer.
